Game Review: 8 out of 10
I find this game highly amusing... and maybe it's just cause i'm a girl, and it's a tad bit prettier than the average games. You basically start off with a town hall... You have to build all your own building. Things like a Tavern, Academy, Warehouse, Barracks, and Trading Posts... There's plently more. You have to assign your town's people to work you send workers out to build up your resources (which include one of the following : Wine, Crystal Glass, Sulfur, and Marble, and everyone has Building Material on their island) also assign people to become researchers for your Academy, this upgrades your town, and makes it become more advanced, and best of all you can attack other people...
Yes, I said it... attack... pillage if you will. Or have an all out war. Given my female mind isn't about to start an all out war with some other town or even really fight for that matter unless someone picks on me first Which is where alliances come in. You can start your own or join up with another alliance. I've co-founded my own
The game is really easy to learn... basically everything right there, so whether your an advanced gamer or just looking for something to pass the time away this is surely a good game. The drawbacks are that it's a browser game; Real life time. It continues even when your not at the desk... Which some people might not have the time for. I happen to have all the time in the world currently so I'm actually getting bored of having to wait for things to finish. Things take time... and i'm impatient. You're allowed to have One "player" per world. Ikariam currently has 5 Worlds to choose from. They have a very infomative forum if you have any questions, and even i have to admit they're really friendly with helping out.
Hey it can be awkward messaging someone you don't know for help. But It's easy... and fun!
I sugguest if you ever have the free time to check out this amaing online browser game Ikariam.
